Introducing the Virtual Lipid Preceptorship

The Virtual Lipid Preceptorship (VLP) is a series of free, online, self-study continuing medical education activities that focus on improving health-care delivery to patients at risk for coronary heart disease. Within the VLP, physicians, allied health professionals, and other members of the health-care team are introduced to the principles and practical applications of continuous quality improvement; participate in assessing the practice's current performance in patient care; create and implement plans to improve that performance; and measure the impact of the improvements on practice performance and patient health-care indicators.
